Mila was born in 2014 and was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was only three weeks old. Cystic Fibrosis is a life shortening genetic condition where only half of those affected live until they are 40. Those with cystic fibrosis may look incredibly healthy, but it's a life long challenge with a vast intake of daily drugs, time-consuming physiotherapy and isolation from others with the condition.
For Mila, her daily routine includes a cocktail of medication, 30 minutes of physiotherapy which is very unpleasant and creon granules with every meal. It's a daily struggle but Mila is a fighter and is loved by all that she meets.
Team Mila’s mission is to help fund research that could help people with CF live longer and healthier lives. We would like to do this through a variety of challenges, social events and family friendly days and the money raised will be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in support of the great research programme they run in the UK.
